Spring Break

     Spring break is right around the corner and I couldn't be more excited. We don't get a spring break because volleyball is in season but we get to go to Kansas as a team. Those times are some of the best because we all get to chill in a hotel and have fun in between our matches. Also a break from school is absolutely needed.

    No classes for a week will give me time to recover and lock in for the rest of the school year. We are coming on the final stretch and I don't know how to feel about it. Im glad that I won't have to go to anymore classes but I am going to miss living with all my friends in our suite. I never knew living with my friends with no one there to bother us would be so much fun. 

    For example my friends birthday was this weekend and we had him do his punishment for fantasy football. He had to go to buffalo wild wings and eat the spices wings with only one glass of water. He doesn't do well with spicy things so watching him eating them was so funny. The good times are what I'm going to miss over the break with everyone gone but I know hanging with my team will be a lot of fun.

Last week Before Finals

 The Home Stretch     With only one more week to go until finals and I'm starting to get nervous. Most of my classes I have a good grade so im not that worried about them, but there are 2 classes that I'm nervous about the final for. It also doesn't help that im trying to study but influenza is going around the school. I have been sick 2 times in the past week.  This is also effecting my extracurriculars because I am not able to participate. making it  to class has been extremely difficult because of this but I am managing. There are some things to look forward too though.      I am excited to get all of my finals done though because I want to go home and see my family. Also getting this break is going to be amazing because school is draining me. All finals does is make students stress out about their grades and I am ready for that to be over. Spring Time

      With spring in full swing allergies and illnesses are starting to run rampant. Me and my roommates have been hit pretty hard with this. 8 of the 12 people in my suite are currently sick, this includes me. Being sick at the end of the school year is difficult because bringing yourself to do all your activities for the day is really difficult.     Also with summer around the corner spring cleaning is coming into play. Spring cleaning is a 50/50 chance of  the clean being done quick or finding some nasty stuff that you never knew was there. Fortunately we were clean enough throughout the year so our clean didn't take too long and their was no lingering trash.     To end us off I wanted to talk about the MLB season so far. More particularly the fact that my favorite team, the Oakland A's are horrible. They have the worst roster and record in baseball and they expect the fans to help them pay for a brand new stadium. Move In Week To Begin My Sophomore Year

August 29, 2022   First Blog Post   Kevin Fiedler CO 280    My Fist Week of School Hello, I am a sophomore student at Mount Mercy University. This year I got to move out of the freshman dorms that had no AC and moved to the sophomore and above dorm. I cannot tell you how nice it was when I walked into my new room for the first time and felt the air conditioner running. I got really excited knowing I wouldn't be sweating in my own room during the first few weeks of school this year. I just moved in this past Sunday and gave myself a few days to get situated before the school year kicks off.
